Window Installation

The Installation Is Where a Window Is Won or Lost

A high-quality window can still underperform when it is installed poorly. Improper installation can lead to drafts, leaks, sticking windows, and poor insulation. Our professional window installation in Colorado focuses on the details you may never see—from proper fitting and insulation to sealing and finishing—so your windows perform reliably and comfortably for years.

Installer setting a new window frame into the opening

Insert or Full-Frame — Whichever Your Opening Needs

Every window opening is different, which is why the right window installation method depends on the condition of the existing frame. If the frame is solid, square, and structurally sound, an insert installation can preserve the existing trim and keep the project efficient. If the frame is rotten, warped, or out of square, a full-frame installation is the proper solution for a secure, long-lasting fit. We inspect each opening before providing a quote, so you know exactly which professional window installation your home requires.

  • Existing frames checked for rot, square, and level before windows are ordered
  • Insert window installations that preserve sound existing interior trim
  • Full-frame installations down to the studs when the existing frame has failed
  • Flashing tape and sill pans installed to direct water safely back outside
  • Low-expansion foam and backer rod used for proper insulation and sealing—not scrap offcuts

What’s involved

The detail that makes it last.

Checked for Square

Every opening is checked for level, square, and proper alignment before the window installation begins. If an opening is out by more than a few millimetres, we shim and correct it before the new window is fitted.

Flashed and Pan-Sealed

Proper water management is essential for a long-lasting window installation. Sill pans and flashing tape help direct water back outside, protecting the opening and surrounding wall from unwanted moisture.

Insulated, Not Stuffed

We use low-expansion foam around the window perimeter to provide effective insulation without bowing the frame or causing the sash to stick. It is a small but important detail of professional window installation.

Finished the Same Day

Your window installation should leave your home looking better, not messier. Trim is reinstated, sealant is neatly tooled, floors are protected and vacuumed, and the work area is cleaned before we leave.

Questions

About window installation.

An insert installation fits a new window inside the existing frame, making it a quicker option that can preserve sound interior trim. A full-frame window installation removes the existing window and frame back to the rough opening. It is the better solution when the existing frame is rotten, damaged, or out of square and needs to be completely replaced.

In some cases, we can install customer-supplied windows, but we recommend discussing the project with us first. Windows measured incorrectly or ordered in the wrong size can create costly installation problems. As professional window installers, we prefer to measure each opening ourselves to help ensure the right fit before the windows are ordered.

Our installation methods are designed to minimize unnecessary disruption. With an insert installation, the existing interior trim can usually remain in place. A full-frame installation requires the trim to be removed as part of the process, but reinstalling and finishing the trim neatly is included in the quoted work.

We complete window installations one opening at a time and close each opening the same day. Heavy rain or high winds can affect safe installation and proper sealing, so we may reschedule when conditions are unsuitable. We would rather wait for the right conditions than rush a professional window installation and compromise the finished result.
